With over a century of providing products and services, Rieth-Riley's asphalt paving experience expands throughout the construction markets for highway, roadway, aviation, commercial, industrial, residential, and track paving projects. As a General Laborer, you will perform essential duties on grading and paving crews in a safe, efficient, and proper manner to achieve a quality finished product. This role involves physical labor such as shoveling, raking, lifting, driving tandem/water trucks, and moving equipment. While prior grading or paving experience is a plus, it is not required. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and teamwork, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to work outdoors in all seasons and may need to work nights, weekends, and unexpected longer hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform general laborer duties on grading and paving crews.
- Ensure safety and efficiency in all tasks.
- Engage in physical labor including shoveling, raking, and lifting.
- Drive tandem and water trucks as needed.
- Move equipment as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Clean driving record and ability to obtain a CDL.
- Must have a 'Safety First' attitude.
- Ability to work outdoors in all seasons.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and unexpected longer hours when necessary.
- Team player mentality.
