General Laborer (Shop set up crew)

About the position

The General Laborer (Shop Set Up Crew) position at BOXX Modular involves assisting in the setup and teardown of modular units. This role is essential for ensuring that units are properly prepared for delivery and installation, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations in modular building solutions.

Responsibilities

• Help with the set-up and teardown of units including teardown walls
• Install vinyl skirting
• Block and level units
• Install/remove shipping walls
• Replace vinyl siding
• Rehab units
• Hang sheetrock
• Install new flooring
• Frame walls
• Install new roofs
• Paint
• Wrap buildings
• Lot set units in yard
• Plumbing or electrical skills a plus

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
• Manual labor capabilities including bending, crawling, kneeling, and lifting
• OSHA Certification (preferred)
• Forklift and/or Translift certification (preferred)
• Ability to work away from home when required
• Ability to work overtime during peak season
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol tests
• Ability to pass pre-employment criminal records check
