About the position

The General Ledger Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of accountants and senior accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP. This role involves managing the sector reporting function, including quarterly balance sheet consolidation and documentation of financial fluctuations. The manager will also coordinate audits, review account reconciliations, and assess current accounting operations to recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of accountants and senior accountants.
  • Support the sector reporting function, including quarterly balance sheet consolidation.
  • Document fluctuations in the balance sheet to communicate relevant risks and opportunities.
  • Review account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Assess technical accounting positions and draft position papers as necessary.
  • Prepare and review quarterly financial reporting.
  • Coordinate audits with outside audit firms and internal operators for timely submission.
  • Review balance sheet fluctuations and monitor the control environment within the business.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as requested by organizational leadership.
  • Assess current accounting operations and resource capacity, offering recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • CPA certification required.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
