About the position
The General Liability Non-Litigated Claims Supervisor at Publix is responsible for overseeing the handling of customer and non-litigated claims, ensuring effective investigation, analysis, negotiation, and settlement of claims. This role involves supervising a team, managing complex claims, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for remote work up to two days a week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the overall handling of all customer and non-litigated claims and provide oversight of complex or sensitive claims.
- Supervise and lead a team, managing compliance with internal processes and providing necessary training and performance management.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and claims-related meetings.
- Oversee, manage, and act as the primary adjuster for specific types of general liability claims, including complex or high exposure claims.
- Respond to telephone calls and written correspondence regarding liability claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline or a high school diploma with 7 years of claims experience.
- 5 years of liability claims handling experience.
- Ability to obtain Florida All Lines Adjuster License upon hire.
- Ability to work effectively without close supervision or guidance.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Nice-to-haves
- 7 years of attorney represented liability claims handling experience with prior supervisory experience.
- CCLA, SCLA, CPCU or ARM designation.
- Fluent in a second language, preferably Spanish.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
