Join our team and let's continue making chocolate lovers happy! A day in the life… Individuals in General Maintenance have a direct role in the chocolate production process from beginning to end. You will be responsible for ensuring each piece of candy that comes out of our facility is 'Only the Finest' quality that our customer has grown to expect.

Requirements

  • Previous industrial maintenance experience.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office products (email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift to meet cleaning requirements.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes.
  • Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect warning devices/signs.
  • Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
  • 1 Year Operating Machinery.
  • 1 Year working in a Food Manufacturing Environment.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years' experience in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping scheduled production machinery operating efficiently with minimal down time.
  • Having multi-disciplined skills including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Performing maintenance for entire plant.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Reading and understanding electrical schematics in blueprint form including ladder logic diagrams.
  • Requesting, receiving, securing, and maintaining supplies and materials required for job.
  • Operating and maintaining machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
  • Accounting for all labor, parts, and operational supplies in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment as required and provided by the company; wearing appropriate uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP's/company standards.
  • Ensuring safe and proper use of tools and equipment; ensures hand tools are free of defects; maintains neat and orderly work area, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies and company policy.
  • Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
  • Learning to Identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
  • Documenting food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.
  • Involves mandatory overtime, weekend work, and ability to be 'on call' or called back to work.
