About the position
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in various areas including plumbing, drywall, tile, carpentry, painting, electrical work, cabinetry, and appliance servicing. This role requires a skilled level of expertise and knowledge of industry and company safety standards. The technician will work in a team environment to handle in-house repairs and ensure guest satisfaction in the maintenance of villas.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, drywall, texture, tile, carpentry, painting, electrical, cabinetry, laminates, granite, and appliance servicing.
- Handle in-house repairs including ceramic tiles, painting, and wallboard systems.
- Assist guests and staff with maintenance concerns and complaints.
- Utilize hand and power tools for various maintenance tasks.
- Complete documentation associated with unit maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years of maintenance experience required, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
- Ability to perform skilled work in general maintenance, including painting, tile, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in resort maintenance preferred.
- Vocational training in maintenance or related fields.
