About the position
The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting with the overall maintenance functions of a multi-family property. This includes performing repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and structural facilities, as well as general upkeep of the property grounds.
Responsibilities
- Replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels.
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance.
- Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Perform necessary manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
- General upkeep of property, including landscaping, painting, carpentry, and drywall.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician.
- Basic skills in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
Benefits
- $19 per hour compensation, paid weekly on Thursdays.
