About the position

The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting with the overall maintenance functions of a multi-family property. This role involves performing repairs and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, plumbing fixtures, and structural facilities, ensuring the property is well-maintained and operational.

Responsibilities

• Replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance maintenance.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform necessary manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
• General upkeep of the property, including landscaping, painting, carpentry, and drywall.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic skills in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
