About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and buildings. This role requires practical skills and knowledge in various trades, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work, although proficiency in these areas is not mandatory. The position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the functionality and safety of facilities, particularly in outdoor military training environments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in maintenance services.
• Ability to use hand power tools.
• Must obtain and maintain necessary security access and/or background checks.

• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting, and electrical systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and/or move interior wall partitions and containers.
• Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Empty trash cans, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture and equipment, clean windows.
• Inspect and clean or replace HVAC filters.
• Complete cleanup of training facilities, removing trash and debris.
• Operate a mower and string trimmer for ground maintenance.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
