About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Domino's franchise location, ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and accurately. This role involves leading a team of delivery drivers and customer service representatives, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of delivery drivers and customer service representatives to ensure orders are expedited quickly and correctly.
  • Responsible for end-of-night bank deposits when closing the store.
  • Conduct a nightly product inventory count when closing.
  • Ensure the store is set up properly and ready to receive orders upon opening.
  • Foster and project a sense of urgency with each order.
  • Oversee total store operations and ensure compliance with Domino's Operation Evaluation Review standards.
  • Communicate with other managers and staff regarding any aspect that impacts business operations.
  • Calculate product and ingredient needs for bi-weekly commissary and beverage delivery.
  • Actively train the General Manager in Training (GMIT) on all aspects of store operations.
  • Maintain staffing levels that reflect the needs of the business throughout the day.
  • Create and maintain an employee schedule based on labor needs.
  • Collect money and signed credit card receipts from delivery drivers at the end of their shifts.
  • Resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
  • Ensure delivery vehicles pass inspection, both mechanically and visually.
  • Assist with routing delivery drivers to maximize service while maintaining delivery standards.
  • Read and understand P&L ledgers.
  • Uphold grooming, uniform, and appearance standards as per Domino's guidelines.
  • Promote pizza products, specials, and promotions.
  • Receive cross-training for preparing products and ingredients, and for closing and opening procedures.
  • Provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers, over the phone and in person.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and use a computer-based order entry system.
  • Contribute to and promote an atmosphere of teamwork, energy, and fun.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Familiarity with P&L ledgers and inventory management.
  • Basic computer skills for order entry and scheduling.
