About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail/storage facility, ensuring tenant satisfaction and optimal occupancy. This role requires a dynamic individual who can engage with customers, drive sales, and maintain the property while embodying professionalism and energy.

Responsibilities

• Foster positive customer interactions in-person and over the phone, emphasizing tenant satisfaction.
• Utilize creativity to drive sales and optimize facility occupancy through advertising and promotional activities.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including collections, daily deposits, and customer calls.
• Demonstrate creativity in showcasing and renting units, understanding tenants' needs.
• Engage in selling merchandise, upselling insurance, and scheduling moving trucks.
• Assist in preparing units for auction with empathy towards tenants.
• Maintain property curb appeal through routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Requirements

• Degree preferred, with 1-3 years of retail/sales experience or 4+ years of retail/sales/property management experience.
• Strong communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting or independently.
• Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
• Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays.
