About the position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 for Environmental Services at KU Health System - St. Francis in Topeka, KS. This role focuses on leading housekeeping operations within a healthcare environment, ensuring a clean and safe atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will drive client and patient satisfaction, manage operational systems, and support a diverse workforce while collaborating with hospital leadership and infection control departments.

Responsibilities

• Drive client and patient satisfaction scores.
• Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Manage the Unit Operating System effectively.
• Partner with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director.
• Develop and motivate a team to exceed client expectations in service and technical execution.
• Build and maintain strong customer/client relationships.
• Analyze data and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Manage projects within agreed timelines.
• Oversee vendor and contract management, including union negotiations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of management experience.
• 5 years of custodial or housekeeping director level experience, preferably in a hospital environment.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience in contract management and negotiations.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
• Proficiency with computers and technology.
