About the position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 for K-12 schools in partnership with North Wasco School District in The Dalles, OR. This role involves overseeing the food and nutrition department, implementing Sodexo programs, and ensuring operational and financial success. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond to the needs of various stakeholders including district administration, staff, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the food and nutrition department.
• Create a positive working environment for staff and students.
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
• Manage multiple locations effectively.
• Integrate within the client's organization as a trusted adviser.
• Develop and execute strategies for business growth.
• Enhance student experience through marketing, menu design, and food quality.
• Lead and motivate the management team, providing strategic direction.
• Ensure fulfillment of all contract commitments.
• Maintain strong employee relations and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, or a related field.
• 3 years of basic management experience.
• 4 years of relevant experience in school nutrition programs.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to achieve financial targets.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience managing Oregon Child Nutrition programs.
• Experience working within K-12 services and National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
• Demonstrated strong employee engagement leadership skills.
