About the position

The General Manager 3 - Food at Sodexo is responsible for leading food operations at Fort Irwin, CA, supporting MEDCOM. This role requires a dynamic leader with a culinary background and operational management experience in healthcare food service. The position involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality food service, and achieving financial targets while maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of food service.
• Deliver high-quality food service to clients and customers.
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
• Manage patient and retail operations effectively.
• Become familiar with online ordering and Army ordering processes.
• Develop strategic plans for food operations.
• Ensure compliance with TB Med 530, NSF, and TJC standards.
• Create a positive work environment and ensure Sodexo standards are met.

Requirements

• Strong employee engagement leadership skills.
• Previous supervisory experience in food service.
• Serve Safe Certified (required).
• Culinary production experience with a focus on safety and sanitation compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate professional communication skills.
• Passion for high-level customer service.
• Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS).
