About the position

The General Manager 4 - Food at Sodexo is responsible for overseeing food service operations at Binghamton University, ensuring high-quality dining experiences for students and staff. This role involves managing multiple dining platforms, catering services, and maintaining client relations while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The successful candidate will lead a team to deliver innovative food nutrition programs and uphold Sodexo's standards for food quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of food service operations with a focus on student experience and food quality.
  • Lead a team in executing high-quality, innovative, inclusive, and personalized food nutrition programs.
  • Maintain healthy client relations and ensure labor productivity.
  • Drive innovation and employee & customer satisfaction as key client indicators.
  • Oversee catering operations for various events including board dinners, faculty events, weddings, and summer camps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of basic management experience.
  • 5 years of basic functional experience in food service operations.
  • Strong leadership skills and previous supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Culinary production experience.
  • Working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC).
  • Proficiency in computer skills and report management experience.
