About the position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 6 for Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. This role involves managing and directing all aspects of food operations within a trauma level III acute care hospital, ensuring high-quality food services and client satisfaction. The General Manager will oversee a team of salaried managers and frontline associates, coordinate daily operations, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards while fostering positive relationships with clients and patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all aspects of food operations in the hospital.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate tasks through subordinate managers and staff.
• Deliver high-quality food services including retail, catering, and patient meal management.
• Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
• Develop and maintain client and customer relationships, particularly in c-suite settings.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, regulatory standards, and Sodexo standards.
• Interact daily with patients, families, and clinical teams to ensure satisfaction.
• Create a positive work environment for staff and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of management experience.
• 5 years of culinary experience.
• Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
• Proficient computer skills and report management experience.
• Demonstrated employee engagement leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate professionally.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) and related software.
• Culinary production experience.
