About the position

The Restaurant General Manager will oversee the operations of a restaurant in North Melbourne, ensuring high standards of service and food quality while fostering a positive work environment. This role involves recruiting, training, and retaining staff, as well as managing financial performance and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the operations of the assigned restaurant unit.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with hourly employees, corporate and regional employees, and guests.
  • Recruit, train, and retain employees.
  • Conduct ongoing training and administer the restaurant hourly compensation program.
  • Ensure food follows standard operating procedures (SOP) in specifications, recipes, plating, and garnishes.
  • Guarantee food is presented properly and served at suitable temperatures, within standard ticket times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Restaurant General Manager.
  • Extremely guest-oriented with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Open availability is required.
  • Ability to drive positive sales and raise guest counts.
  • Passionate about and thrive on the development and mentoring of others.
