About the position

The General Manager - Alaska Operations at Cummins Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple branches in Alaska, including Anchorage and Fairbanks, as well as three satellite locations. This role involves managing financial metrics, strategic planning, market analysis, and ensuring operational excellence to drive business growth and maintain high customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage branches through Branch Managers and oversee all functions and financial metrics for the group of branches.
• Monitor business metrics including balanced scorecards, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics.
• Develop and manage the Annual Operating Plan to align branches with the company's strategic objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and threats for the branches.
• Manage the annual marketing and sales plan to drive business growth and expand market presence.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through various programs and maintain high service standards.
• Manage warranty submissions and address repetitive issues to improve product and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• College degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related subject required.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or Sponsor certification required.
• Significant relevant experience, including managerial and budgetary experience.
