About the position

The General Manager (GM) will oversee daily food operations at Virgin Atlantic's new Airport Lounge, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that align with the company's premium standards. This role involves achieving financial targets, developing strong client relationships, and leading a team to provide exceptional customer service. The GM will be responsible for operational budgets, compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a positive client relationship while ensuring employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food operations to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor, and develop frontline staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company food and physical safety programs.
  • Manage multiple priorities and maintain professional communication.
  • Utilize automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and maintain a positive client relationship and employee engagement standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • 5 years of functional experience in food, beverage, and culinary services.
  • Extensive experience managing food and beverage outlets at high-end venues.
  • Experience with automated food inventory and management systems.
  • Ability to pass a TSA background check and obtain an LAX Airport Badge.
