About the position

The General Manager at D-BAT Baseball & Softball Training Facility is responsible for leading the team to deliver exceptional training experiences while ensuring operational excellence and a welcoming environment. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and engaging with the community to promote the facility as a premier choice for baseball and softball training. The General Manager will also focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, while driving revenue growth through community events and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the D-BAT Training Facility, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Lead a team of coaches, front-desk personnel, and support staff, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Manage scheduling and staffing to meet training session and customer service needs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance protocols for a safe environment.
  • Maintain a guest-centric approach by exceeding guest expectations and addressing concerns.
  • Set and monitor KPIs related to facility maintenance and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive revenue growth through local community events and partnerships.
  • Recruit, train, and retain skilled team members in collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations.
  • Coach and mentor employees, conducting performance reviews and addressing personnel matters.
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Collaborate with the corporate marketing team on local brand initiatives and client acquisition strategies.
  • Engage with the local community to promote D-BAT as a top choice for training.
  • Participate in local outreach and community events to build D-BAT's presence.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of operations management experience, preferably in sports, recreation, hospitality, or retail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling abilities for smooth facility operations.
  • Availability for full-time work during non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and manage facility maintenance.
  • Financial acumen to assess the financial impact of operational decisions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to engage with guests and staff.
  • A passion for creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
