About the position

The General Manager at Deep Roots Harvest will lead and support a dynamic team in overseeing the operations of a high-volume cannabis retail store and a regional delivery service. This role is pivotal for the company's growth, requiring strategic leadership and operational excellence to drive success. The General Manager will collaborate closely with Assistant General Managers and department managers, conduct weekly meetings to address operational challenges, and maintain relationships with various departments to ensure all location needs are met. The position also involves overseeing dispensary activities, conducting audits, and implementing financial objectives while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all locations maximize financial performance and deliver on budgets while providing superior customer experience.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth and achieve KPIs.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train associates to build a strong store staff.
• Provide leadership and support to store managers and staff for operational excellence.
• Conduct regular financial and compliance audits, holding locations accountable for results.
• Collaborate with marketing and purchasing teams on promotional strategies.
• Coach store managers on operational changes and customer service improvements.
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Retail Management Experience in a high-growth environment.
• 3+ years' experience running a delivery service for multiple locations.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and ability to innovate.
• Experience in a fast-paced and compliance-driven atmosphere.
• Knowledge of data analysis including labor workforce management.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10/OSHA 30 Certified.
• Media training and/or public relations experience is a plus.
