About the position

The General Manager at Enmark Stations, Inc. is responsible for leading a team of up to 25 employees in a retail environment, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining store standards, and driving profitability while fostering a positive work culture and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of up to 25 employees to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance and operation.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of the retail operation, providing support where needed.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train high-caliber candidates.
  • Analyze sales, margin, inventory levels, and purchase trends to maximize profitability.
  • Execute company marketing plans and procedures consistently at the store level.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels through effective ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Manage employee scheduling and payroll to meet sales and labor targets.
  • Complete daily and monthly paperwork and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and upper management.
  • Conduct accurate and timely employee performance reviews.
  • Complete competition surveys as requested by management.
  • Support the company's mission, vision, and values in all operations.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Execute fuel pricing strategy and conduct timely fuel surveys.
  • Enhance employee morale and engagement through communication and recognition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendor partners.
  • Act as a proactive business manager to achieve company goals and analyze P&L reports.
  • Resolve employee issues and disputes in a timely manner.
  • Embrace and facilitate change within the organization.
  • Work flexible shifts as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years management experience in food service, retail, or restaurant preferred.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, guest-focused environment preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work 50 hours weekly.
  • Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift inventory weighing up to 40 pounds.
