About the position

The General Manager for Cal Tech Process Management at Aldinger Co. is responsible for overseeing all operations within the calibration branch, ensuring strategic direction, driving business growth and profitability, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction while implementing strategies for productivity and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless calibration activities and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and positive engagement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures, audit calibration processes, and maintain adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with sales teams to expand the customer base and services.
  • Oversee branch financials, including budgeting, P&L management, and financial planning to ensure profitability and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, implement safety protocols, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Drive innovation in calibration services, utilizing the latest technology and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Partner with the central Quality Management team to identify and bridge training gaps, ensuring technicians are proficient and workload is balanced.
  • Oversee the maintenance and readiness of all calibration tools, vehicles, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record in operational management within the calibration or similarly technical field
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Strategic thinker with solid business acumen and financial management capabilities
  • Demonstrated success in transforming operations with data-driven decision-making
  • Effective communicator with proficiency in calibration software and tools
  • Proven experience managing budgets and financial operations

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field preferred
