About the position

The General Manager (GM) at T. Rowe Price will provide operational leadership and oversight for the Chief Technology Office (CTO), focusing on business planning, administration, and program management. This role is pivotal in driving the firm's technology strategy and execution excellence, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the technology landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Set agendas for and facilitate CTO lead team meetings to drive execution.
  • Design and implement an efficient operating model for the CTO, streamlining processes and workflows.
  • Lead programs impacting the recruitment, development, and retention of technology talent within the CTO.
  • Connect the CTO GM network to solve common problems and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the technology organization, ensuring seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Develop and manage the CTO budget, ensuring appropriate allocation of resources for technology projects and staffing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience.
  • Professional work experience in the financial services industry, particularly in asset management.
  • Experience in a Chief of Staff / GM role with responsibilities in optimizing operations and budget oversight.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
