About the position

The General Manager at Club Pilates Willow Glen is responsible for leading a sales team, driving revenue, and enhancing the member experience in a boutique fitness environment. This role emphasizes community engagement, effective marketing strategies, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness or retail sales, with a focus on customer service and team management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive multiple revenue streams: memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training to meet financial targets for the studio
  • Generate leads by reaching out to the local community through grassroots marketing and networking efforts
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to promote the studio and attract new members through social media marketing, email campaigns, and other promotional activities
  • Achieve high member retention by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly studio atmosphere
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the studio, including sales, staff management, and member experience
  • Hire, train, and develop sales representatives and staff members to achieve individual and studio goals
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the studio
  • Enforce Club Pilates policies and procedures
  • Independently make decisions related to high-level customer service
  • Work some evening and weekend hours as the studio is open 7 days a week

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and proficient in data management
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public
  • Proficient with computers and studio software; ClubReady experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills
