About the position

The General Manager at Farmers Restaurant Group is responsible for leading the team across all DMV locations, ensuring profitable operations, driving sales, and fostering a culture of hospitality. Responsibilities

  • Control day-to-day operations by scheduling, ordering, and developing restaurant team members.
  • Directly responsible for profit & loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire staff, motivate and train team, and take disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Ensure fully staffed, fully trained, and fully performing location.
  • Oversee and adhere to local health and safety codes, as well as company-wide safety and security policies.
  • Follow the preventative maintenance program for facility, equipment, appliances, fixtures, etc.
  • Lead a culture of safety and promote a positive working environment.
  • Drive the company goals and objectives for creating a best-in-class guest experience.
  • Maintain bottom line responsibility for all guest reviews and guest experiences.
  • Ensure all products are consistent with company quality standards and recipes.
  • Partner with and complete timely execution of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Flexibility to work in either DC, MD or VA.
  • Experience managing in high volume restaurants, with a minimum of three years preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
  • Capable of continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations.
  • Robust financial aptitude in respect to business operations.
  • Passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Be caring, self-motivated, and exhibit an aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence.
  • Hospitality degree preferred.
