About the position

As a General Manager at Aramark, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and guiding multiple contracted services for a client, typically generating revenue between $2-15M+. Your role is crucial in meeting operating and financial goals, client objectives, and customer needs. The services you oversee may include food service, facility support, custodial services, retail, lodging, transportation, and more. You will lead a team of operations managers dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients. Your knowledge of the client’s business, relationship-building skills, financial acumen, and focus on safety will enable you to make a significant impact every day. In this position, you will lead a team that provides operational expertise in contracted services while managing hands-on execution of operations. You will be responsible for managing client and community relationships at the location, continually assessing operations, and developing plans to enhance service quality and drive employee and customer satisfaction. Building, developing, and leading a management team and staff capable of achieving organizational objectives will be a key part of your role. You will also recommend methods, resources, and implementation strategies for service improvement and growth based on a thorough understanding of operational needs, capabilities, and contractual obligations. In partnership with the Finance team, you will manage a budget and assist in designing improvements to optimize financial performance and operational productivity. Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes is essential, and you will maintain all associated records and reports. Ensuring adherence to Aramark's standards of operation, including safety standards and the Business Conduct Policy, is a critical aspect of your responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Build, develop, and lead a management team and staff to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Recommend methods and resources for service improvement and growth based on operational needs and contractual obligations.
  • Manage a budget in partnership with Finance and assist in designing improvements for financial performance and operational productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and maintain associated records and reports.
  • Adhere to Aramark's standards of operation, including safety standards and the Business Conduct Policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management preferred.
  • Strong focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship, and business growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients, senior management, and support staff.
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement contractual requirements, identifying opportunities within contract terms.
  • Meaningful experience in the service industry, contract services, or hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to lead through other managers.
  • Experience in creating and managing a department budget, financial controls, and analysis.
  • Experience in crafting product sales strategies and implementing operational programs.
