About the position

As the General Manager for IHOP, you will lead a team with expertise in staff training, food service management, and hospitality. Your core skills in management, supervising, and team leadership will be essential in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. With premium skills in inventory control, cash handling, and fine dining experience, you will drive profitability and maintain high standards. Your relevant skills in casual dining, catering, and barista experience will further enhance the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Manage and train staff members, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to develop new menu items and specials
  • Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate goals, expectations, and updates

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service management or hospitality management is required
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training staff members
  • Knowledge of catering operations is a plus
  • Familiarity with bartending or beverage service is preferred
