About the position

The General Manager of Fulfillment Operations at ShipBob, Inc. is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the fulfillment center in North Aurora, IL. Responsibilities

• Direct several operational aspects including fulfillment operations, customer service, and human resources.
• Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics, and plan continuous improvement efforts for the facility.
• Partner with merchant care to design and improve the merchant experience.
• Use data-driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
• Hire, train, coach, and motivate managers and associates in the facility; responsible for setting team goals and managing them.
• Ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization and enforce safety standards and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.
• Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs.
• Comply with all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehousing or e-commerce environments.
• Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management, or a related field, preferred.
• Established track record of taking ownership and driving results.
• Demonstration of responsible, ethical, and honest behavior in previous roles.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, and Excel.
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
