About the position

The General Manager oversees and manages the operations of a single property to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement in key performance indicators. This role is responsible for achieving profitability, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency while maintaining company standards and ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure associates are driving company initiatives and promoting guest satisfaction.
  • Maximize revenues and flow through to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA.
  • Manage labor standards and property level expenses for maximum profit.
  • Monitor collection of in-house guest balances and direct bill receivables.
  • Participate in monthly inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring purchases are within budget.
  • Work with District Manager and Regional Director of Field Sales to manage sales activities and meet revenue objectives.
  • Identify and seek out potential business in the local market and maintain relationships with local companies.
  • Resolve guest-related issues in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Recruit and train qualified applicants according to company standards.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to staff and conduct regular meetings.
  • Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of the property with the AGM.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years related hospitality management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software including email and word processing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Conversational Spanish would be beneficial.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and manage tasks effectively.
