About the position

The General Manager oversees and manages the operations of a single property, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement in key performance indicators. This role is responsible for coordinating staff and daily hotel operations to achieve profitability, guest satisfaction, and efficiency while maintaining company standards. The General Manager is committed to providing the best possible experience for guests and employees, driving company initiatives, and managing property-level expenses to maximize profits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure associates are driving company initiatives and promoting guest satisfaction.
  • Maximize revenues and flow through to GOP to meet or exceed budgeted EBITDA.
  • Manage labor standards and property level expenses for maximum profit.
  • Monitor collection of in-house guest balances and direct bill receivables.
  • Participate in monthly inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring purchases are within budget.
  • Work with District Manager and Regional Director of Field Sales to manage sales activities and meet revenue objectives.
  • Identify and seek out potential business in the local market, maintaining relationships with local companies.
  • Resolve guest-related issues in line with company goals and objectives.
  • Recruit and train qualified applicants in accordance with company standards.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to staff and conduct regular meetings.
  • Inspect and document repairs and cleanliness of the property with AGM.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years related hospitality management experience required.
  • 4-year degree highly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software including email, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and manage tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and direct staff to perform daily job tasks.

Nice-to-haves
