About the position

The Valet & Parking General Manager is responsible for overseeing the hotel valet operation and parking services, ensuring exceptional guest service and a safe environment. This role requires strong leadership to manage staff, uphold company policies, and maintain high service standards in a luxury hotel setting. The General Manager will also handle financial management, team member relations, and foster a culture of growth and development within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity as a business leader.
  • Work directly with hotel clients to set strategic plans for smooth operations.
  • Direct, train, and manage location staff, focusing on training and development in a luxury environment.
  • Maintain top-level service standards for the upscale nature of a luxury hotel.
  • Perform financial management, including revenue control and managing profit & loss statements.
  • Oversee payroll, staffing, hours/OT, and budget proactively.
  • Support key performance indicators for VPNE.
  • Handle team member relations issues in-house, utilizing HR resources when necessary.
  • Communicate with the HR team to uphold processes and procedures.
  • Build a dependable team through recruitment, hiring, and training in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
  • Ensure safety and risk prevention measures are in place.
  • Mentor team members through ongoing coaching and training, fostering a promotion-from-within culture.
  • Lead a positive and supportive culture to encourage growth opportunities for team members.
  • Enforce VPNE policies across all locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility with proven leadership experience, particularly in a hotel setting.
  • Experience in luxury hotels, preferably with 5 diamond/star rating.
  • 2+ years of account management experience.
  • 2+ years of client retention and relationship building experience.
  • Strong organizational and training skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver's License in the state of residency.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and RMV check when overseeing a valet operation.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Dayforce, and Parking Revenue Control Software and Hardware.
