About the position

The General Manager II at Flik Hospitality Group is responsible for overseeing the overall operation and cost-effective management of multiple dining service departments across various facilities. This role emphasizes providing exceptional service to residents and customers while ensuring financial goals are met. The position requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a commitment to quality food service management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operation and management of multiple dining service departments.
• Ensure timely service and adherence to operational timelines set by management or clients.
• Manage financials including planning, budget development, analysis, and reporting.
• Conduct management meetings and audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Hire, train, and orient new management associates.
• Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, clients, and customers.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or A.A. Degree plus 5-7 years of related experience.
• Minimum of five years of retail operational foodservice management experience.
• Good knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls.
• Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services.
• Multi-unit management experience is preferred.
• Strong supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and various computer programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with cash retail operations.
• Retail marketing experience is highly desirable.
