About the position

The General Manager II at Signature Aviation is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in Belgrade, Montana. This role involves market analysis, competition assessment, and fostering customer relationships to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction. The General Manager will also establish a safety culture, manage financial performance, and lead a team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the market for the FBO including growth opportunities.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of competition including selling points, product offerings, and pricing.
• Manage in liaison with the Revenue Management team to remain locally competitive.
• Create new opportunities by developing relationships with customers and airport authorities.
• Establish a culture that promotes safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, and training.
• Formulate procedures for use in the event of aircraft accidents, fires, or other emergencies.
• Promote customer loyalty by creating an environment of increased employee engagement.
• Interact regularly with customers to promote the FBO and measure customer satisfaction.
• Use customer feedback to develop and improve capabilities and processes.
• Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained based on operational volumes.
• Develop new business plans with capital requirements and anticipated performance.
• Prepare the FBO budget with insights for capability and opportunities.
• Manage financial aspects including capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, and expense management.
• Conduct annual reviews, make hiring decisions, and manage performance of direct reports.
• Ensure employees receive necessary training and company communications.
• Facilitate training and development of employees to maximize potential.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Requirements

• Five (5) years or more management experience with three or more years experience in aviation.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Aviation Management or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated core competencies: entrepreneurship, change leadership, negotiation and influence, business acumen, operational decision making, customer orientation, driving for results, managing and measuring work, interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based applications.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
