About the position

The General Manager II at CEVA Logistics is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a high-volume supply chain logistics operation. This role focuses on ensuring high service quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage operations, drive revenue growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide direction for customer service efforts from all station departments.
  • Ensure ongoing customer service and maintain customer relations based on daily operations.
  • Responsible for attainment of profit objectives of contracts and provide financial analysis.
  • Drive organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Ensure safety, maintain quality, and establish cost control programs.
  • Lead creative problem solving and develop professional relationships with customers.
  • Work with government departments and social groups as needed.
  • Provide leadership in coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Oversee operations management within company guidelines.
  • Manage staffing needs to meet customer requirements and control costs.
  • Support hiring managers and manage contract staff to ensure quality service.
  • Maintain corporate productivity and quality award programs.
  • Encourage use of Performance Management system and maintain quality performance objectives.
  • Train managers and personnel to achieve contract goals and satisfy customers.
  • Establish ongoing programs for continuous improvement using methodologies like Kaizen and LEAN.
  • Motivate workforce through Performance Management program and reward outstanding performance.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals and governmental regulations.
  • Experience driving revenue growth and managing profitability of multiple sites.
  • In-depth knowledge of managing revenue, budgets, and operations problem solving.
  • PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based software applications.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills for effective interaction and presentations.
  • Experienced in project management methodologies with a focus on solution-driven strategies.
  • Minimum of a High School degree or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, 3PL, or Transportation required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in operations and business management.

  • Experience in providing leadership for geographically dispersed sites.
  • Ability to effectively delegate responsibility and authority to direct reports.
