About the position

The General Manager III - Store is responsible for achieving overall store sales goals and service objectives while managing and developing a team of store members. This role involves building professional customer relationships, ensuring operational standards are met, and leading change management initiatives. The General Manager will also provide DIY services and assist in various district functions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage and grow professional customer relationships and sales
  • Select, hire, develop, and manage store team members
  • Ensure execution of all inventory and operational standards
  • Coach team members to deliver on customer expectations
  • Perform manager on duty responsibilities including task assignment and completion
  • Lead change management initiatives
  • Provide DIY services such as battery installation and testing
  • Assist District/Region in other functions upon request

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a retail environment
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems preferred
  • Experience managing profitability and financial acumen
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; PowerPoint preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • ASE certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to become ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
