About the position

The General Manager in Training at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is responsible for overseeing daily operations to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

  • Assist and oversee daily operations to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead a team and manage processes to grow sales and meet organizational goals.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through cleanliness and safety checks.
  • Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
  • Assist the General Manager with task execution, schedule integrity, and reporting.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with managers in talent acquisition efforts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
  • 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+ million.
  • 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
  • 2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
  • Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
