About the position

The General Manager in Training position at Subway is designed for individuals looking to develop their management skills in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves overseeing daily operations, staff management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while driving sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Completes and posts staff work schedules 2 weeks in advance.
• Recruits, rewards, and terminates staff as needed.
• Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
• Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained, and company safety and security policy are followed.
• Maintains business records as outlined in the Subway® Operations Manual: Daily Procedures.
• Analyzes business records to increase sales.
• Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
• Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
• Ensures store(s) are open and operational during and outside of scheduled work hours.
• Completes University of Subway® courses as directed.
• Accurately executes stores counts both weekly and monthly.
• Have a hands on management approach and ability to multitask.

Requirements

• Able to exert well-paced mobility and can lift 15 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Have the stamina to work an average of 50 hours per week.
• Able to quickly learn store operations and menu preparations.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Effective and consistent leadership ability.
• Quick thinking & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work at a fast pace in an organized manner.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
