About the position

The General Manager IV at Signature Aviation is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in Memphis, TN. This role involves market analysis, customer relationship management, safety culture promotion, and financial oversight to ensure the FBO's growth and competitiveness in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the market for the FBO including growth opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of competition including selling points, product offerings, and pricing.
  • Manage in liaison with the Revenue Management team to remain locally competitive.
  • Create new opportunities by developing relationships with customers and airport authorities.
  • Establish a culture that promotes safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, and monthly safety meetings.
  • Formulate procedures for use in the event of aircraft accidents, fires, or other emergencies.
  • Promote customer loyalty by creating an environment of increased employee engagement.
  • Regularly interact with customers to promote the FBO and measure customer satisfaction levels.
  • Use customer feedback to develop and improve capabilities and processes.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained based on daily/weekly/monthly volumes.
  • Develop new business plans with capital requirements and anticipated performance.
  • Prepare the FBO budget with insights for capability and opportunities.
  • Responsible for financial management including capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform leadership functions such as conducting annual reviews, making hiring decisions, and managing performance of direct reports.
  • Ensure employees receive company communications and necessary training including safety and customer service standards.
  • Ensure training and development of employees to improve work performance and maximize employee potential.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in management or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills for market and competition analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Experience in financial management including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
