About the position

The General Manager at La Dolce Vita Beverly Hills is responsible for overseeing the overall guest experience and managing restaurant operations. This role involves ensuring high service standards, managing staff, and maintaining the restaurant's image while fostering guest relationships and maximizing reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Curate guest experience and manage reservations book.
  • Ensure all guests are greeted warmly and hospitably.
  • Develop and foster guest relationships and clientele.
  • Respond to guest emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Hire and properly onboard all employees.
  • Oversee training, coaching, discipline, and termination of FOH staff.
  • Approve and submit daily and bi-weekly payroll.
  • Uphold service standards including ordering supplies and maintaining sanitation.
  • Liaise with ownership regarding outlet design aesthetics.
  • Adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs.
  • Complete financial and personnel-related administrative duties accurately and on time.
  • Maintain professional restaurant image, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
  • Investigate and respond to guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Investigate and respond to employee complaints, referring to HR as needed.
  • Manage shifts including decision making, scheduling, and planning.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and administer counseling when necessary.
  • Physically tour and inspect the property daily for condition and cleanliness.
  • Comply with health department and labor standards.

Requirements

  • Maitre D' experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable restaurant and/or hospitality management experience.
  • High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong management, organizational, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, plan, organize, delegate, and control processes.
  • Flexibility and openness to change according to business needs.
