About the position

The General Manager at Tuff Shed's Factory Store in Mobile is responsible for the profitable operation of the store, overseeing various functions including retail and wholesale sales, production, installation, customer service, safety, human resources, and accounting. This multifaceted leadership role requires a results-driven individual who can manage the store effectively while wearing several hats.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Factory Store profitably.
• Provide leadership and management across retail and wholesale sales, production, installation, customer service, safety, human resources, and accounting.
• Manage local installation teams and sales force.
• Ensure customer service excellence and satisfaction.
• Recruit and manage a network of independent installers.
• Oversee safety management and compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven sales and service experience in the home improvement industry.
• Strong local network and experience in recruiting and managing independent installers.
• Significant experience in safety management, including OSHA compliance and safety training documentation management.
• Experience in managing and leading employees, resolving employee relations issues, and leading by example.
• Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications.
• Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software such as Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce, or Goldmine.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of building design and customer needs assessment.
