About the position

The General Manager for Villa Restaurant Group's 40NORTH Restaurants is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of assigned restaurant(s). This role involves providing leadership, direction, and supervision to the restaurant team while ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, compliance with company standards, and achievement of financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
  • Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure food quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Monitor inventory levels and control costs to maximize profitability.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of Guest satisfaction by delivering Exceptional Guest Service.
  • Address Guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Train Team Members to provide excellent Guest service.
  • Develop and manage the restaurant's budget.
  • Monitor sales and expenses to achieve financial targets.
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and initiatives.
  • Drive local marketing efforts to attract and retain Guests.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and secure restaurant environment for both Team Members and Guests.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on sales, inventory, and financial performance.
  • Maintain records of Team Members schedules, payroll, and other administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in the full service restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety and hygiene.
  • Financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of marketing and promotional strategies.
