About the position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and profitability of River Lodge Paso and Farmhouse Paso. This role includes managing staffing, training, supply ordering, property maintenance, and guest interactions, while ensuring adherence to company culture and standards set by ownership and Nomada Hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations and profitability of River Lodge Paso and Farmhouse Paso.
  • Oversee staffing, training, supply and product ordering, property maintenance, and guest interactions.
  • Supervise heads of each department including Restaurant BOH, Restaurant FOH, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Front Office.
  • Implement company culture, vision, brand, and employee standards as envisioned by ownership and Nomada Hospitality.
  • Create monthly financial reports for the Nomada Financial Call per property.
  • Serve as guest relations representative, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proper handling of VIP guests.
  • Address property maintenance issues swiftly and efficiently.
  • Communicate clear performance standards for all staff and maintain documentation for training and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee inventory reordering, loss prevention, dynamic pricing, and monthly full inventory for all departments.
  • Control labor costs across all departments and maintain safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
  • Update communications systems and collateral, delegating where appropriate.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding wage and hour law and take disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Work with Nomada to maintain brand standards and ensure a clean, presentable, and safe work environment.
  • Supervise events & groups manager to plan and implement special events according to company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Nomada marketing and accounting departments to meet reporting and marketing needs.
  • Complete payroll for hotel and restaurant on time and verify hours and payment types.
  • Ensure proper manager coverage across all departments at all times.
  • Communicate major property issues to Nomada in a timely manner, including maintenance and guest relations issues.
  • Lead weekly management meetings and perform evaluations for all assigned subordinates.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in a management position at a hotel.
  • Boutique property experience preferred.
  • Experience managing full-service food and beverage operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special events experience preferred.
  • Passion for and commitment to luxury hospitality.
