About the position

As a General Manager for Eurest, you will oversee up to three boutique-style restaurants in a business dining environment. This role focuses on maintaining excellent relationships with employees, guests, and clients while promoting the professional growth of the team. You will integrate dining services with operational plans and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 3 boutique style restaurants in a business dining environment.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with employees, guests, and clients.
  • Promote professional growth and development of the team.
  • Cultivate strong interdepartmental relations.
  • Integrate dining service department with facility operations.
  • Participate in employee meetings, reviews, and training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws.
  • Maintain food cost while ensuring quality standards.
  • Manage financial reporting including sales and P&L reports.
  • Analyze financial data and craft trends.
  • Manage purchasing and inventory controls.
  • Plan menus in consultation with chefs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of multi-unit experience or 5 years of restaurant/catering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Eight to ten years of upscale food service experience, including six years at the management level.
  • Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation, and succession planning.
  • Proven track record of achieving company goals in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and concentrate with constant interruptions.
  • Experience in food purchasing, food costs, and inventory control.
  • Knowledgeable on HACCP controls and proper food storage and use.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Corporate dining experience is a plus.
  • Catering experience preferred.
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.
