About the position

As the General Manager of NW Hospitality Group, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our award-winning restaurant concepts, including Amaro's Table, Cecilia, and Gustav's, located in Vancouver, Washington. Our establishments are renowned for their scratch kitchens and craft bar programs, and we pride ourselves on delivering an elevated dining experience characterized by sincere service and consistent quality. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. With a strong emphasis on leadership, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and ensuring guest satisfaction across all aspects of the restaurant operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a committed management team, focusing on manager development and coaching to foster a culture of growth and adaptability. Your leadership will be essential in building the leadership bench strength within NW Hospitality Group as we continue to expand and create healthy growth opportunities for our team. You will be expected to engage with guests, resolve complaints, and ensure that all operations align with our high standards of hospitality. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience, including at least 2 years in a General Manager role within a full-service, elevated dining establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training employees in food preparation, customer service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Develop property leaders, building the leadership bench strength for NW Hospitality Group.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
  • Observe and evaluate employees and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service.
  • Oversee schedules, assign duties, responsibilities, and work activities to employees in accordance with position requirements.
  • Receive food and beverage deliveries, checking orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in performing personnel actions such as hiring and firing staff in consultation with other managers as necessary.
  • Follow through with equipment maintenance schedules and help arrange for repairs.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Engage with guests throughout their experience and resolve guest complaints regarding food quality, service, or facilities.
  • Maintain restaurant opening and closing procedures with accuracy.
  • Work with management to develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Monitor compliance with health, OSHA, and fire regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience.
  • At least 2 years in a General Manager position in a full-service, elevated dining establishment.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and coach team members.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a passion for guest service.

  • Experience in a progressive restaurant environment.
  • Familiarity with health, OSHA, and fire regulations.
