About the position

The General Manager at Oodazu Buckhead is responsible for overseeing all operations at the venue, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, leading the crew, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and customers. The General Manager will also engage directly with customers, handle administrative tasks, and ensure that all operational protocols are followed. This is a hands-on position that requires strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of OODAZU Buckhead
  • Maintaining a calm and professional demeanor even when issues arise
  • Managing the opening & closing duties of the facility
  • Working alongside crew members when necessary
  • Keeping detailed inventory of and sourcing all facility related supplies
  • Sourcing supplies, food, crafts, etc. for parties, camp, and other activities
  • Ensuring all inventory from OODAZU Party Boutique is updated in Shopify
  • Assessing day-to-day operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Doing weekly walk-throughs of the facility to ensure all equipment is functioning
  • Ensuring pictures and videos are taken during parties, camp, play, etc.
  • Following all operational protocols to ensure party boutique orders are not lost
  • Escalating issues to the owner when required
  • Hosting weekly meetings with the owner to discuss goals and operational issues
  • Managing all direct reports and ensuring they are performing their required duties
  • Assigning duties to direct reports and ensuring they have work to do
  • Screening and interviewing potential candidates for employment
  • Training new employees on required duties
  • Keeping performance files on employees and providing disciplinary write-ups when required
  • Working with the owner to ensure proper staffing
  • Day-to-day management of staffing to ensure adequate staffing without over-staffing
  • Communicating with crew members to identify other staffing options
  • Answering all emails/text messages with customers in a kind manner
  • Managing the check-in processes for all activities
  • Running the front computer for check-in, payment, and booking
  • Booking parties, balloon orders, camp, classes, or any event over the phone
  • Working with parents on all party bookings to ensure the best experience
  • Communicating with parents about party add-ons while trying to upsell
  • Keeping detailed notes about each party in the party booking system
  • Maintaining all party tracking spreadsheets
  • Confirming all items necessary for the party are charged and ready
  • Ensuring pulled party decor meets OODAZU standards
  • Working with outside vendors to book entertainment for parties
  • Developing detailed camp schedules and activities
  • Managing the check-in and pick-up processes for camp

Requirements

  • 10 years experience in a professional role
  • 2-5 years experience as a manager
