About the position

The General Operations Manager at Williams-Sonoma in Olive Branch, MS is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to ensure inventory accuracy and manage daily production schedules across distribution and transportation operations. Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management for inventory accuracy and production schedules.

  • Achieve efficiency and production objectives consistent with quality requirements.
  • Motivate and develop a team to work efficiently together.
  • Develop, monitor, and achieve financial plans and budgets.
  • Manage projects under aggressive time and dollar constraints.
  • Operate to ensure peak productivity and corporate profitability.
  • Manage and develop systems, processes, and procedures for inventory accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related area.
  • 6-8 years of management experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment (10-12 years in lieu of degree).
  • Experience managing a large exempt workforce.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, etc.).
  • Exceptional ability to deliver engaging presentations to all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Previous Supply Chain Logistics, Transportation, or Engineering experience.
  • Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing expertise.
  • Experience with start-ups, business turnarounds, and new technologies.
  • Change management experience including products and processes.
  • Experience with final mile home delivery solutions.
