About the position

The General Manager at Mint Cannabis is responsible for overseeing all operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing staff, and driving sales performance. This role emphasizes leadership, operational efficiency, and customer service within the cannabis industry, aiming to foster a positive workplace culture and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the dispensary/cultivation facility, ensuring high operational efficiency and compliance with cannabis regulations.
• Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and developing a positive workplace culture.
• Monitor sales performance, set sales goals, and implement strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including managing product tracking, record-keeping, and reporting.
• Oversee inventory management, including product sourcing, restocking, and auditing to ensure accurate levels and compliance with state tracking systems.
• Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all operational aspects to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Manage the financial performance of the facility, including budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting.
• Maintain high levels of customer service by ensuring the staff provides knowledgeable, friendly, and compliant service to all customers.
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic, increase sales, and expand customer base.
• Ensure the facility is properly maintained, clean, and adheres to safety and security protocols.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
• Address any operational challenges, including staffing, inventory, or regulatory concerns, in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• 3 years of retail management experience.
• 3 years of experience in the retail cannabis industry.
• 2 years of cash handling experience.
• Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
• Certification or advanced training in cannabis compliance or business operations.
• Familiarity with METRC and Dutchie Software.
