About the position

The General Manager (Packaging) at The Royal Group is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Halls, TN facility, ensuring that the company's policies and objectives are met. This role involves establishing sales goals, promoting products and services, and maintaining customer relationships. The General Manager will also coordinate functions across divisions, review financial performance, and direct the formulation of financial programs to maximize productivity and returns on investments.

Responsibilities

  • Establish sales goals and objectives by promoting and selling products and services offered by TRG.
  • Confer with Regional management to plan business objectives and develop organizational policies.
  • Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and revise objectives as necessary.
  • Direct and coordinate the formulation of financial programs to maximize returns on investments.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set in initial review.
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
  • Sell the entire product line with a focus on value-added products and services.
  • Maintain aged inventory in compliance with sales team objectives.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows.
  • Interview, hire, train employees, and manage performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of related experience and/or training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business Management.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and project management software.
