About the position

The General Manager for the Michigan territory will oversee the daily operations of the physical security division of a leading security technology company. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient service delivery, maintaining client relationships, and leading a diverse team of security professionals. The position also involves monitoring financial performance and compliance with industry standards, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the physical security division, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and evaluate operational performance, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review service performance and address any concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and client expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development programs to ensure a skilled and capable workforce.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Oversee security risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the security industry or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain client relationships.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and profitability analysis.
